Our
Story
ChangoTRee have been performing and recording from Mornington Peninsula to Broome, up the east coast of Oz to Byron Bay and stops in between. Overseas has taken them to New Orleans, Texas, New York, Ireland, London, Canada and France.
ChangoTRee’s two song writers Ian Treloar and Ree Liddell have harnessed their global journey in song stories; playing the music they make about the places through the stories lived and reflected in song.
Simon Deware on drums, a longtime member will add his flair to the roots, blues-cruise, funky-folk, surf-reggae and swampy grooves.
ChangoTRee’s debut album Home produced a number 1 song on the AMRAP Australian charts and earned national community radio play. Formerly based on the Mornington Peninsula, they now live on the South East Coast of NSW while currently working on album their new album: Walkin’ on Water.
The fusing of stringed instruments: dobro, cigar box, electric guitars, mandolin, 9-string acoustic-electric guitar, guitar synth with stomp box, and bass loops for a uniquely immersive experience. It’s the riffing song-stories in groove.
Performing as a duo with the above mix of instruments or as a band.
They have performed at many festivals across Oz, including Wangaratta Jazz & Blues, Yackandanda Folk Festival, Tablelands Folk Festival Yungaburra (Qld), Melbourne's Docklands Blues festival and Fleurieu Festival (SA) and Mornington Main Street annual Festival.
